Years before the creation of the sports cars that would bear his name, and before he took an historic victory at Le Mans for Aston Martin, Carroll Shelby would be inseparably linked to one magnificent automobile: the 4.9-liter Ferrari 410 Sport Spider, serial number 0598CM. Racing for John Edgar's southern California squad, Shelby and the 410S would dominate the SCCA's CM category in 1956, capping the season with a hard-fought victory over Phil Hill's Ferrari 857, one of eight wins scored by Shelby in 0598CM.
Shelby's "Modena Monster" Ferrari 410 Sport Spider is now the subject of a beautiful 1:18-scale resin replica by Tecnomodel. The 410's clean, muscular lines have been rendered beautifully by Tecnomodel, accented by intricate wire wheels and an all-business racing cockpit. With production limited to 100 units, this historic model will find a home in only a few select collections...do not delay in securing your copy.
