The 1965 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans saw the top-level factory-run prototypes of Ferrari and Ford all fail to finish, leaving the podium to be claimed by privateer entries. Among them was the Ecurie Francorchamps-entered Ferrari 275GTB/C, driven to a win in the 4-liter GT category and third place overall by Willy Mairesse and Jean Blaton (running under the pseudonym "Beurlys.") This overachieving GT car is now the subject of a highly detailed, limited edition 1:43-scale resin replica by Tecnomodel. A study in the elegance of simplicity, its Belgian Racing Yellow finish is accented by delicate chrome trim and surgically precise lettering, while a black side-exit exhaust adds a touch of subtle menace.
