In 1987, Ruf Automobile GmbH set the automotive world on fire with the unveiling of its twin-turbocharged CTR, a supertuned Porsche 911 that reached a top speed of 211 miles per hour (making it the world's fastest road car at the time). To pay tribute to this landmark automobile, in 2017 Ruf announced the CTR Anniversary, a bespoke supercar modelled after the iconic 1987 CTR "Yellowbird" but packed with modern technology and construction. With 650 horsepower and a 224 mile-per-hour top speed, it was unquestionably a fitting successor to its namesake, and with a planned production run of only 50 units, it would prove an elusive successor as well.
