Though closely resembling the Porsche 964, Ruf's SCR 2018 is a completely bespoke item, a thoroughly modern sports car with classic inspiration.  The SCR 2018's ultralight carbonfiber monocoque and body, coupled with a normally aspirated flat six good for 510 horsepower, yield a car capable of reaching 60 miles per hour from a stand in just 3.2 seconds on the way to a top speed of 200 miles per hour. With production of the SCR 2018 limited to around 15 units per year, only a select few will sample this elite car's performance potential. Thankfully for the rest of us, Almost Real's sublime 1:64-scale premium diecast replica will at least allow us to park a piece of the dream on our desks.
