By the end of the 1960s, the Porsche 911 had emerged as the weapon of choice for privateer GT-category entrants in international endurance racing, thanks to its robust flat-six powerplant and generally good reliability. New from Spark is a pair of 1:43-scale resin replicas of privately entered Porsche 911Ts from the 1969 24 Hours of Le Mans: the number 42 car of Wicky Racing Team, and the number 66 entry of J. Egreteaud Racing. Though neither car would finish the race that year (hey, we said "generally" good reliability) they are nonetheless an important part of the colorful story of Le Mans in the 1960s. Each model boasts a beautifully executed livery and a plethora of fine details, including special Le Mans lighting and accurate cockpits.
