Jaguar shocked the racing world in 1951 with the revelation of their secret project, the XK-120C, at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Developed for the express purpose of winning the French endurance classic, it married a tuned version of the XK-120 road car's lusty 3.4-liter straight six with a lightweight tube-frame chassis and wind-cheating aluminum coachwork to create a car that was as fast as it was modern. In only its first attempt, the XK-120C would win Le Mans in 1951 with drivers Peter Walker and Peter Whitehead, a moment commemorated by Spark's new 1:43-scale resin replica of the victorious C-Type. Featuring an authentically sculpted body, intricate wire-spoke wheels and fine touches such as accurate side-pipe exhaust and riveted headlamp surrounds, this miniature Jag is truly a work of art that would be a welcome addition to any serious collection of 1:43-scale Le Mans-winning racers.
